DR. JEAN PAOLO G. LACAP

Jean Paolo G. Lacap, DBM, PhD is the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Quality Assurance of the City College of Angeles, Angeles City, Philippines. He is the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Fernandino Award (TOFA) in the field of Education, awarded by the Local Government of San Fernando, Pampanga. In 2018, he received the Research Productivity Award from the Philippine Association of Researchers and Statistical Software Users (PARSSU), bestowed because of his outstanding contributions to research publications in Scopus and Clarivate Analytics indexed journals. He is also the 2016 Outstanding Business Educator in the field of Entrepreneurship and the 2014 Young Achiever Award in Business Education, both awarded by the Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business (PCDEB). With his outstanding accomplishments in business education, he was conferred a Diplomate in Business Education (DBE) by the Philippine Academy of Professionals in Business Education. He is also a Registered Marketing Professional (RMP) and Accredited Marketing Educator (AMEd) and was awarded the title Registered Business Educator (RBE) by the Junior Achievement Philippines & Chartered Association of Marketing and Business Professionals.

Dr. Lacap is a former adjunct lecturer at UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At present, he is a Guest Lecturer at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – College of Business Administration Graduate Studies, Holy Angel University Graduate School of Business, University of the Visayas Graduate School of Business, St. Paul University Surigao Graduate School, and University of the Assumption Graduate School of Business and Public Administration teaching Basic and Advanced Statistics, Research Methods, Economics, Philippine Business Environment, Marketing Management, Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, and Entrepreneurship.

Dr. Lacap has 58 research paper publications in refereed journals, of which 23 were published in top high-impact Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journals. One of his recently notable achievements is his inclusion in the Editorial Advisory Board of Young Consumers, one of the leading business journals published by Emerald Publishing, and indexed in Scopus (ranked Q1), Emerging Sources Citation Index (under Clarivate Analytics – Web of Science) and Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) Journal Quality List (B Ranking). He is the only Filipino researcher included in the said reputable journal. 

Dr. Lacap is a regular member of the National Research Council of the Philippines – Social Science Division, and President of two (2) professional organizations namely Pampanga Research Educators Organization (PREO) and Association of Local Colleges and Universities Region III – Research Council. He is identified as one of the six WarpPLS experts in the world by Prof. Ned Kock, the developer of the WarpPLS statistical software.

Dr. Lacap holds two (2) doctorate degrees – a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Ph.D. BA) from the University of the Visayas, Cebu City, Philippines, and a Doctor of Business Management (DBM) from the Philippine Women’s University. He completed his Master in Business Administration (MBA) at the Angeles University Foundation and Bachelor of Arts Major in Economics at the University of the Philippines.

Dr. Lacap has delivered more than 170 business, management, research, and statistics speaking engagements in various academic institutions, professional and scientific organizations, conferences, forums, and training workshops in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Oman, and Uzbekistan. He has been involved in various speaking engagements outside the Philippines, and his most recent was with Multimedia University in Melaka, Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia; Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Shinas, Sultanate of Oman.
